Bears edge Cardinals in another strong effort.

Despite a rough start to the season, the Bears finished 2023 on a high note.

With today's 27-16 victory over the Cardinals, the Bears improved to a respectable 6-9. The Bears have won four of their previous six games after getting off to a losing start to the season.

While they won't be in the playoffs this year, they appear to be laying the groundwork for a strong 2024 campaign.

Khalil Herbert ran the ball 20 times for 112 yards and Justin Fields came close to rushing for 100 yards, showcasing their impressive running game today. Despite Fields's lackluster passing performance and the lingering doubts about his future with the Bears

he is establishing himself as the franchise quarterback and arguing that the team can skip the 2024 quarterback selection.

It was just another disappointing performance for the Cardinals, who now sit at 3-12 for the season

In the year 2024, they will have to tackle the reconstruction project.

Even though the Bears are still in the midst of their rebuilding process, their late-season surge gave fans reason to believe that they are getting back to being a contender.
