Breakthrough for the Rams as Matthew Stafford

There have been several outstanding quarterbacks for the Los Angeles Rams. Until now, no one had managed to complete what current starting Matthew Stafford achieved.

As mentioned during the Amazon Prime broadcast, Stafford has now completed at least two touchdown passes in four consecutive games without throwing an interception. No quarterback in Rams history has ever done that before him.

In the game against the Saints, he completed 28 passes for 328 yards. This is his best performance since beating Seattle in Week 1.

The Rams won their sixth game in a row with a 30-22 triumph, which seemed like a blowout until the Saints scored two touchdowns in the final seconds

It made New Orleans' playoff chances much more questionable and greatly improved Los Angeles' chances of making the playoffs.

Once the Rams qualify, they will pose a serious threat. It is possible that no other NFC squad has a legitimate shot at beating the 49ers in San Francisco.

And if Stafford can maintain his current level of play—which is to say, efficient, sharp, decisive, and healthy—it would happen.

Since a more competitive and interesting playoffs is likely to result from the top teams advancing, we should all root for them to do so. It appears like the Rams are in a good position to do that right now, regardless of who they play.
