On Wednesday, the Lions activated safety C.J. Gardner-Johnson from injured reserve.

After missing Week 2 with a pectoral muscle rupture, he returned to practice with the squad.

Garnder-Johnson now has 21 days to decide whether or not to activate him, after which the Lions must make a decision.

During practice on Wednesday, the Lions listed him as limited.

After signing with the Lions this summer, Gardner-Johnson participated in two games and had 13 tackles and two passes defensed.

On Wednesday, the Lions did not have tight end Brock Wright (hip) and cornerback Jerry Jacobs (hamstring).
