(Part-1) On Thursday Night Football, the Rams defeated the Saints 30-22 to improve their record to 8-7.

The Rams needed a win Thursday to stay in the NFC Wild Card chase.

Like Sunday's triumph over the Commanders, the fourth quarter became dicey. But the Rams held on and won 30-22. With the remainder of Christmas weekend left, the Rams are the NFC's No. 6 seed.

LA scored on its opening two drives, with Puka Nacua receiving a 2-yard touchdown to finish a 14-play, 95-yard drive. Then Lucas Havrisik made it 10-0 with a 20-yard field goal.

Rams might have led 13-0, but Havrisik missed a 47-yard field goal. The short field allowed Derek Carr to throw a 45-yard touchdown deep down the middle to Rasheed Shaheed with 2:28 left in the first half for New Orleans.

After forcing a rare Rams three-and-out, Carr threw an incomplete pass on fourth-and-5, preventing the Saints from scoring again.

Next, Matthew Stafford connected with Demarcus Robinson for a 4-yard touchdown to give the Rams a 17-7 halftime lead.

After Havrisik's 22-yard field goal, Kyren Williams scored a 10-yard touchdown after a Carr interception to put Los Angeles up 27-7. Another 32-yard Havrisik field goal gave the Rams 20 straight points.

The Saints ended the run with Juwan Johnson's 5-yard touchdown reception at 6:33 in the fourth quarter. On Los Angeles' second possession, a tipped punt gave New Orleans the ball at the 35
