Slow Cooker Meatballs Marinara Recipe

While we usually connect meatballs with spaghetti, the protein-packed spheres go great with many dishes and even alone.

Ingredient

– ½ cup panko breadcrumb – 2 tablespoons lukewarm water – 1 pound ground beef – 1 large egg – 2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese – 1 small yellow onion, finely minced – 3 cloves garlic, minced on a microplane – 1 teaspoon salt – ½ teaspoon Italian seasoning – ¼ tsp freshly ground black pepper – 1 (28-ounce) jar marinara sauce

Direction

Combine the breadcrumbs and water in a mixing bowl, then put the mixture aside.

Put the onion, garlic, salt, pepper, Italian seasoning, egg, cheese, beef, and egg in a big bowl.

Mix the items together with your hands. Add the bread crumbs to the meat mixture and mix them together.

Form the meat into balls about two inches in diameter.

When the slow cooker is ready, pour in the marinara sauce.

Spread the meatballs out in a layer on top of the sauce.

There are two different cooking times: four hours on the "low" setting and two hours on the "high" option.
